5 of 5 Best Toe Stops Ever! September 29, 2020

Mt. Olympus...that's what we call our favorite downhill backward skating path in Fontana.
The journey begins at a 1,925 ft elevation and continues for 1.6 miles...downhill, breaking speeds exceeding 24 mph.  IT. IS. A. Real. rush!!! We're only forced to stop when traffic encroaches (lol).  That's where my toe stops come in.  While Empire Skate's incredibly cool staff provided many options, I tried 4 pair of awesome toe stops.  Each varied in color and shape and I loved them all but one really kicked "A": The Superball GumBall.  It's long lasting and it has a huge surface for rotation.  Many thanks to Empire Skate for providing a safe, friendly and accessible skate supplies shop during these odd times.  Gumball Superball Toe Stops are the best (o:"

I clearly neglected to read the description before purchasing, the stops are HUGE (duh me!). I’ve used them for everyday skating and they work just fine, but I bet they really shine on the derby track which is what I’m sure they were designed for. My derby days are behind me but I wish I would’ve had a pair back then.....

Love these toe stops. They’re large enough to feel balanced while running. But not too big where they hit my wheels.

played both flat and banked track in these and loved it.  Running on these toe stops was great, I felt really stable and they grip the track (both wood and sport court) well.  The larger size didn't get in the way at all.
